Applications:

1979-1985 Toyota Truck (4wd) and 4Runner front or rear 

1986-1995 Toyota Truck (4wd) and 4Runner (2wd or 4wd) rear (V6 type)

1996-2009 4Runner 4wd or 2wd rear

2016-2023 Tacoma rear without electric locker (does NOT fit 8.75 rear end!)

The V6 8" differential is an upgrade for 4cyl 8" differentials found in 1979-1995 4CYL trucks and 4runners.  We recommend considering upgrading to the V6 if you are purchasing a complete differential as the cost increase is minimal. 

 

These differentials are built with high quality Korean made Revolution or Longfield 29 Spline gearsets, (we may use Yukon Gears for some stock ratios like 3.73 / 4.10 / 4.30) along with our own Yotamasters Master Install Kits featuring Koyo and Timken bearings. All of our complete diffs come standard with solid pinion spacers and Yukon triple drilled pinion flanges.

The cases are brand new Yukon Differential housings that are beefier than factory Toyota cases.

We use Genuine Toyota ring gear bolts and lock tabs or Yotamasters exclusive ARP ring gear bolts with safety wire (standard with ARB and Zip Locker options). The use of the factory lock tabs or ARP ring gear bolts with safety wire eliminates the possibility of a ring gear bolt backing out on carriers that do not allow for the stock lock tabs to be used.

* All open differentials will include good inspected used carriers and spider gears.

*ARB & Yukon Zip Lockers do not allow for the use of factory ring gear bolt lock tabs. We use ARP ring gear bolts with safety wire for these applications by default. All Genuine Toyota ring gear bolts for 8" differential applications are torqued to 71ft lbs along with red thread lock. ARP ring gear bolts are torqued to 80ft lbs along with red thread lock and are safety wired to eliminate the possibility of them coming loose and backing out.
