These plates are used to cover the motor mount after doing a solid axle swap. Made from 1/8″ steel plate, 2″ X 7″. When converting 1986-1995 Toyota vehicles to solid front axle, you have to cut into the upper control arm pivot bracket, which also has the frame side motor mount brackets. This creates a unsightly opening just above the frame rail. These plates are designed to weld there and box the motor mount bracket in.
