Rebuilt FJ60/62 steering boxes. These steering boxes feature reverse cut internal gears. The pitman arm swings in front of the steering box instead of behind like the IFS style steering boxes commonly used in custom applications. If you’re moving your front axle all the way forward with links and don’t want a steering box and frame hanging way out in front then consider using this box as it can be mounted behind the drag link instead of in front of it. This steering box has four mounting holes and will require custom mounting if you are using it on a Pickup/4Runner or Samurai. Sector shaft and input shafts have the same splines as 1986-1995 4WD IFS boxes. All boxes are completely rebuilt with new seals and bearings. Each unit is tested before shipping. Available in standard configuration, or drilled and tapped for hydraulic ram assist steering. Price includes core charge. If you have a rebuildable core steering box, send it in for a $150 core refund. We also purchase core steering boxes outright. Call for more info.
1981 – 4/1985 boxes have square pattern mount holes.
5/1985 – 1990 (late FJ60 and all FJ62) have an offset mounting pattern.
Please be sure to check your vehicle for correct fit. If using for custom application either box will work fine.
